Carrwood is a small private stud of Welsh Section B Ponies located in Cheshire in the Peak District National Park. Carrwood was established in 1980 with the purchase of Morwyn Nicotiana who was a great winner for us. We enjoy showing our Welsh Ponies at County and major shows and we have met many good friends showing this beautiful breed of native pony. This site shows some of our stock and their bloodlines.
We strive to breed quality rather than quantity and so we love to hear from the few owners of Carrwood Ponies to keep up with their ponies’ careers!

Carrwood have had a wonderful last two shows at Cheshire County and The Royal. Carrwood Bronzewing ( 4 year old stallion) was Overall Champion & Silver Medal winner Cheshire County with Carrwood Phoenix Youngstock Champion and Reserve Supreme Welsh ABCD Youngstock. At the Royal, Carrwood won 1st Section B Stallion with Carrwood Bronzewing, 1st Yearling Filly with Carrwood Adeniog and 1st, Male Champion and Reserve Overall Section B Champion with Carrwood Phoenix. Phoenix is produced for us by Colin Tibbey and his team at Lacy Stud.
